Presenter Topic: Isabel Crossings Development: Planning for Complex Developments
​The Isabel Crossings Development will introduce nearly 1,300 residential units and approximately 90,000 square feet of office, commercial, and amenity space to Livermore’s Isabel Neighborhood. This presentation will explore the entitlement process required for a project of this scale, highlighting key considerations from both the City and the developer that shaped the overall design.

​Presenter Bio: Jake Potter is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Livermore and previously served as the Senior Planner for the City for the Isabel Crossings Development. A native of the Tri-Valley, Jake has spent the past eight years serving in various Planning roles for the City. Jake's experience includes managing complex projects and land use entitlements like the Isabel Crossing mixed-use project, including Development Agreement and new Tax Assessment District; site selection and analysis for brokers and real estate agents; local business startup and expansion assistance; Downtown Hotel DDLA modifications; open space property acquisitions; Historic Review streamlining and Historic Preservation Program management; Objective Design Standards and Comprehensive Housing Update to the Development Code; and serving as project manager for a variety of housing and business expansion projects throughout the community. Prior to his time with the City, Jake worked for a US Representative in Washington, DC, and a Tri-Valley tech startup.
 
Jake has a B.S. in Political Science from TCU, a Master of Urban Planning from San Jose State, and he is currently pursuing a Certificate in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and Certified Economic Developer certification from International Economic Development Council. When Jake isn't working or studying, he enjoys road tripping with his wife, camping, and looking forward to being a new dad.
