Presenter Topic: Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project: On the Edge of Construction
The Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project (ADSRP) will replace the existing dam, outlet works, and spillway in the exact location within an active waterway. There are significant challenges that make the construction sequencing and design unique, including phased diversion. The ADSRP is at 100% Design, and Prequalified Contractors will be invited to bid as part of a Best Value Selection this summer. The presentation will include an overview of the Project and an update on the current status.

 | Presenter Bio: Collette Frawley is a Senior Engineer at Santa Clara Valley Water District and the Project Manager of the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project. Collette has worked for Valley Water for nine years in both the Watersheds and Dam Safety and Capital Delivery Divisions. Collette previously worked for a private engineering firm on large dam construction projects. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from San Jose State University. When Collette isn’t working, she is spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their two redheaded daughters! |
