Scholarships
The bylaws of the club advocate promoting a wider acquaintance and fellowship among local members of the engineering profession, enhancing the advancement of young engineers in this profession, presenting educational and entertaining programs of an engineering nature at regularly scheduled meetings, presenting the engineering profession to the public in a favorable light, and taking an active interest in the welfare of engineers and engineering organizations within the club's area of influence.
To promote interest in the engineering profession among local high school youth, the club sponsors an Academic Scholarship Grant Program each year. The club is requesting contributions from corporate member firms or individuals as benefactors of these programs to help defray the cost of this scholarship program (past years' scholarships have included two $2,000 scholarships) and to help keep the costs of the club-sponsored events down to affordable levels. |
