Santa Clara County is booming and growing faster than other Bay Area counties. With nearly $49 billion in long-range transportation projects identified by member cities and the County, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is considering placing a transportation sales tax measure on the November ballot to fund a portion of these needs.

Please join the Southbay Engineers Club Friday, April 1, 2016 for a timely presentation by VTA’s Michelle Gouldsberry. Michelle will explain the growth and demographic shifts taking place in Santa Clara County, as well VTA's efforts to engage the public in the long-range planning process. Envision Silicon Valley is a dynamic visioning process to discuss current and future transportation needs, identify solutions and craft funding priorities, with the goal of helping the county maintain livability and a vibrant economy.

Our Presenter Michelle Gouldsberry conducts community outreach for Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s (VTA) Envision Silicon Valley program. Envision is VTA’s approach to working with community leaders and residents to discuss current and future transportation needs, identify solutions, and craft funding priorities. She held a similar role for the Santa Clara County Traffic Authority, which was responsible for building Route 85 and making improvements to Highways 101 and 237.
